What TomeScout is

TomeScout is a remote MCP server that AI assistants (such as Claude or ChatGPT) call on your behalf to research Amazon book-market data. This policy covers the TomeScout server and this website.

What we collect

• Tool inputs. The arguments your assistant sends to a TomeScout tool — for example a seed phrase such as “cozy mystery”, candidate keywords, or a book title and subtitle you ask us to check. We do not receive your conversation, your uploaded files, your assistant's memory or anything else outside the tool call.
• Technical logs. Our host (Vercel) records standard request metadata such as time, IP address, user agent and response status for security and debugging.
• We do not use cookies or analytics on this website, and TomeScout has no user accounts today.

How we use it

• To answer the tool call. For the keyword tools on the full server (keyword_research and ads_keywords), seed phrases and prefixes are sent to Amazon's public search-suggestion service to read the suggestions shoppers see; nothing that identifies you is sent to Amazon. The TomeScout Toolkit server (/mcp/toolkit) and the other tools only calculate from your inputs and send nothing to any third party.
• To keep the service fast, Amazon's responses are cached in server memory for up to 12 hours.
• To investigate abuse and errors, using the technical logs.

We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Sharing

• Amazon receives the search prefixes described above (keyword tools on the full server only).
• Vercel Inc. hosts the service and processes request logs on our behalf.
• We disclose information if required by law.

Retention

• Tool inputs are not stored after the response, apart from the in-memory cache (at most 12 hours).
• Request logs are kept by Vercel for its standard log-retention period.

Your choices

You can remove TomeScout from your assistant at any time. Because we keep no account or profile, there is no stored personal data to export or delete; contact us if you believe otherwise.
